Leaf Live at the Zenit Bar

Posted by Sino on 11th September , 2009

’twas a cold September night -at least compared to the usual weather we get in Greece at September- and Zenit couldn’t have a better opening. When we got there, dubstep was flooding the space; an hour or so later atmospheric jazz was the thing and Leaf threw one of the best sounding sets ever.

If this experimental sound is your idea of fun, check his latest release hereIrgendwann with Nektaria, the first in a series of free digital singles from FAT, combined with DIY CD-sleeve artwork.

As always, I’ve snapped quite a few pictures of the set, the best of which are below.

New Digital Download: Irgendwann

Posted by Leaf on 11th September , 2009

Irgendwann is a song that through the years changed many times until August 2009 that took its final form with the addition of vocals from the artist Nektaria. The whole concept of the track started at 2004 with the idea of combining dictaphone samples and peculiar drum styles. After many years with the addition of many different sounds, the song finally got it’s final form that can only be described as pure electro avant-garde.

It is also the first single from the Digital Series of the label From A Tree that embarks the beginning of a small but interesting series of sounds from experimental artists. The Digital Series Singles contain .pdf files that can be printed and folded into DIY CD-sleeves, made by Sino/BWphoto.net.

You can download Irgendwann with the artwork for the DIY-sleeve as a .zip file containing the song in MP3/320 kbps or as .zip file containing the song in FLAC. You can also stream the song with your favourite media player.
